When we got home, this was our view. I hope that’s a good omen.
After this, we enjoyed some Costco Chicken, red and yellow mini-peppers, rice, and Bario Bread. It is so good; I ate the first three (small) slices without butter. We watched the local and national news. I read to PJ from Ellen Melamed’s book Moving Meditation: The Alexander Technique – for performing arts students…and the rest of us! It is similar to Parkinson’s and the Art of Movement by Argue. I prefer Argue’s book in that it focuses more on PD.
03.19.2020: 0500: Playing catch-up with all my files. Put feed out for the birds. I did the laundry. Fixed PJ’s breakfast. 0900: I don’t know why, but I’m suddenly tired. PJ is still sleeping. We have our next Dr.appointment at 1300 today.
Everything went like clockwork. PJ’s injection time took about five minutes. She has to keep a record of the pain for the next six hours. She scored from 0 to 10 the pain level. This injection is like Novocain: it will numb her backbone for about six hours; then, the pain will come back. She feels the pain mostly from a sitting to standing to sit position. And walking is out of the question. She managed about 500+ steps in Udall park after the procedure, which she couldn’t have done before the shot.
We got to see the snow icing on the top of the Catalina’s.
No pain. But just like Novocain, the numbness will wear off. She will then have to go through the process once more for insurance purposes. Something about proof that they have found the problem: once the insurance approves, then she can go back to Body Central for physical therapy. I’ll finish and post this on Friday. I know: I haven’t practiced shooting since the 16th. I was rained out on Wednesday. Life changed my schedule. That happens, doesn’t it?
