Life Happens

Our good friends, Virginia and Larry, sent these shots of Reddington Pass (East of Tucson between the Catalinas and Rincons) to show what happens to the desert after a rain. It’s peaceful there. Solitary.

1520: SWOMBO sat outside with me while I shot 24 arrows. Grouping too high. I’ll talk to Larry about adjusting my sight. Just to be sure, I shot from 10 yards and got a 28/30.

The Tuesday Parkinson’s Support meeting has been canceled.

03.17.2020: Day 5 of Self Solitude: Thin clouds. Overcast. 53º. PJ chipped her tooth last night. I called early this morning, and at 1500, we will see Dr. Moss.
1500: PJ is getting her tooth fixed. No anesthetic. Note her relaxed hand. It was that way through the procedure. Success. Associated Dentists will close until April 3.

There is trouble with my computer today. I can’t seem to minimize anything onto my side-bar.

PJ has a new appointment with a pain specialist tomorrow at 1500 (Dr. Chavez, MD DO.)

Desert Sports (where we exercise) is closed until April 3. No Tresha or Tai Chi

03.18.2020: 0600: Up and emptying garbage. Searching my files on this computer.
1000: We drove to Costco. The line extended to the back of the parking lot. Once in, the checkout lines wound around the cases filling the inside—no time to get a picture. We spaced our carts out one cart length away. We were given wipes for the cart handles. It took fifteen minutes just to get to the self-checkout. We stood behind a yellow line until called to our register. The employees were friendly and helpful and tired (as were we). Meanwhile, PJ sat on a chair in the Hearing department while I stood in line for the register. Technically, they were closed, but our regular audiometrist happened to be there. Sharon offered to clean PJ’s hearing aids while she was waiting for me. I called her on her cell when I was three people away from the Self Check Out. From there, we went to Sprouts and got a few pounds of granola and oats to hold us for a couple of weeks for breakfast.

Thirty minutes after we arrived home, Julie and Zach came by to check on us. Julie brought us a loaf of Barrio Bread. She cautioned us not to go to Costco again. She insisted that we have her do the shopping for us. Julie’s right, of course. While she was here, Zach adjusted my computer. Everything works. THANK YOU, Zachary!

1425: Leaving for the Pain Clinic. 1500: Met with Dr. Chavez, MD & DO! He arranged for PJ’s first test tomorrow!. We’ll have to repeat the test to prove to the insurance that the test works. THEN she can go to Body Central for PT. That will be a couple of weeks down the road. Things are moving quickly now.
