FAMILY
A member of our “extended” family, Gailian B. focusses on her homework in Oregon City, Or. She is now evacuated to Portland where her family is safe from smoke and possible fire in their area.

Afternoon Sun. Still grey from smoke.
009.14.2020: Brighter than Sunday, but still orange.
Looks like the Sun is tangled inside the mesquite branches.
09.15.2020: A first for me. When I was in grade school, I tried on the gloves – maybe! I have never used them since.
Tresha has me counting and hitting. I like it! This may be the answer to gaining strength in my hands and arms so that I can go back to archery. Two other PD members are here. (no pictures) who are much further advanced. The rhythmic sounds. The steady pow, pow, humph! Left, left, right. Something I can learn.
This is the kind of bread I was talking about last week for Communion. Barrio Bread!

Add Ethan and Jessa and The Mogollon Monster and you have the whole family!

Some of you are music lovers. All of you are writers. Follow this site for an awesome analogy. Continue with the comments. There are comments from Plotters and Pantsers. I wonder how many of you can relate?
A Great Story Is Music to the Eyes by Guest Blogger Well-written books are music to the eyes. Eldred Bird writes a credible music analogy, showing the instruments that build the foundation every story needs. Read more of this post |
PJ BEFORE her haircut.
If she is happy, I’m happy.
RAVEN’S JOURNAL FOR September 18-19, 2020: I know, it’s been a while since I have visited Grandma and Grandpa Sam and P J’s home for an overnight stay.
I must say that it was relaxing. I did take Sam for a walk, this morning. We saw a rabbit in the middle of the road. We watched it watching us.
I sat still with Sam. The rabbit hopped to the north side of the road. I heeled for Sam and we continued our walk.
He put 500 steps on his pedometer. That’s with two legs. Hmm. I have four legs. Would that count for 1000 steps?
I enjoyed the walk. I met Dexter Dog with Al on the way home. They kept good social distancing. Most of the rest of the day, I slept or walked in the North yard. PJ spent time reading her Kindle, Sam was attending a Zoom meeting that started at 0930 and lasted until 1500. He had a lot of interruptions. The major one is something is wrong with his TV. He called for service, but being Saturday, he may not get any until Monday. Mom Julie arrived at 1330. As I was getting in her car, I heard Sam say, “You can bring her by anytime. We enjoy having her. She is no problem.”
That’s always good to know.
I try my best. It’s good to feel like I’m part of the family.
