IS THIS FALL? Not quite.

Paco&Mom’s for breakfast.

The first outing for PJ, the second for me since July. Maybe longer. When Virginia and I went there two weeks ago, we decided that the outdoors, the spacing, and the way they cleaned the tables made it reasonably safe. We’ll do it again, maybe.

This hummer kept busy behind us while we were having breakfast.

I had scrambled eggs on Hopi blue corn tortillas with a side salad

09.05.2020:  0800:  Drove to Tresha’s Studio for a Parkinson’s Specific exercise.  We arrived 30-minutes early for PJ and me to do some stretching. The hour and forty-five minutes were good for us. We hope to continue with the routine.  Most of what we did, I can do at home to practice.  1030: ran a couple of errands.  1300: Julian from Geeks 2 You arrived to set up PJ’s webcam. He got here just in time to spot a scam on my computer! Lucky for me.  Also, my laptop’s touch-pad wasn’t responding. He’s taking it to the shop to check it out.

1930: Shutting down for the night.

09.06.2020: 0600: 84º this morning. So far, Tucson has had thirteen record-breaking days of HOT! The temperature will drop below 100º starting September 8, according to the weather reports. Today, it will be 105º. Not only that, but I started this morning STIFF! (Thank you, Tresha!) The hot shower helped. I know what that means: There are moves I must do EVERY day;

0900: We watched our St. Francis UMC service. At 1045, PJ used her webcam and watched the ZOOM  TALKBACK with Pastor Jim. About twenty members were present.

We had leftovers for lunch.

We started a World War II movie on Netflix. Had to stop. Too tired.

09.07.2020: 0500: Got up to the same alarm chirping. This is the one in the loft.  Julie and Zach are coming over later to fix it.  Also, I have too much tremor to manipulate fine screwdrivers to change the battery in our bathroom clock.

Worked most of the day on my CIP. Sat through a Zoom meeting on How to Sit Through a Zoom Meeting.  Heh!

We had a light dinner and watched a funny Netflix movie: Morning Glory. Having Harrison Ford in it caught my eye. PJ and I laughed several times.  You might enjoy it. He plays his usual delightful, grouchy self.

09.08.2020: 0445:81º Ten minutes on the bike and pulling 25# with each hand. We have an 0830 appointment with Dr. Senait Dyson, Dermatologist. As usual, I got zapped for some pre-cancerous spots on my arms and head. We both enjoy visiting her.

I gave her a copy of Welcome Home.  Some day, maybe Phyllis and I can double date with Senait and her husband on the patio of Paco & Moms and talk of non-medical things.  (In your dreams, Sam.)

After dinner, we watched a documentary on PIXAR. Amazing history.  (Talk about writing into the dark!)

Communion flour tortilla, Guacamole, and “wine”.

We aren’t too swift with the taking of Selfies.  Our church wanted us to send pictures for the virtual Communion.  We would have used Barrio Bread, but we were out. I used tortillas with guacamole and a sip of water. We don’t drink wine and we only drink Blue Moon Beer when there is a Blue Moon (two full moons in the same month). That will happen on October 31, 2020. We can hardly wait.

09.09.2020. 0445: Working with the 25# stretch equipment and almost pulled my bike over.  I’ve got to find a better system.

All good intentions: the plan was to spend the first two hours writing. The first thing that popped up on my email was a fraud alert from the bank. Two hours later, and three phone calls, (all on hold for thirty minutes) everything was resolved. (I hope.)

1000: Breakfast with Swombo before she leaves for Body Central PT. 1030: Writing again. When PJ returned from PT, we drove to Sprouts for “emergency” bananas and some other items. Then, we stopped by Culvers and ordered sandwiches-to-go.

1300: And, wonder of wonders, I put in five straight hours of writing! I added sixty pages.  That’s a little over 7,000 words. Yeah, I had to use Dragon Dictation frequently, but for the most part, it was “fingers pounding the keys”.  I loved it!  No stopping to edit.  Just typing. Half the time, I didn’t spell Kenneth correctly.  Grammarly is a big help.  Before I shut down, Grammarly said I had 276 issues.  I’ll fix them tomorrow as time permits.

We watched the evening news and some YouTube Flash Mob presentations.

2100: “To sleep, perchance to dream.” Hamlet Act 3. Scene One.

09.10.2020. 0415: I have a 1000 Zoom meeting with PCSRA. Afterward, we’ll walk the Mall.  This was an interesting experience.  I couldn’t find the code to get into Zoom for that meeting. Luckily a member there gave me directions to go back to an earlier announcement which did have a  code.

Apparently, several people were having the same trouble including the host. He got kicked out of his own meeting and when he finally did come back I could see him and hear but he couldn’t see anybody. It’s a learning curve folks. Think of the first time you learn how to drive a stick shift car pushing your foot in the clutch shifting gears. And my mother drove a Model T. She had three pedals and only two feet. None of the pedals were the gas.  The gas advance was on the steering wheel.

Saw a good movie: Love Guaranteed.  Light comedy.

A friend of ours – MargaretAnn who lives in La Posada.  I’d know those eyes anywhere.

09.11.2020: 0900: A date to remember.  We walked the small loop of Udall Park for the first time in three months. Now that the temperature is below 70º, because of the haze over the valley.  This is smoke from the California fires. We only walked 1000 steps.

A moment of rest.

AND  Finn Dog who’s found his way to our home for a second time. His owners retrieved him.

We get pictures: The Tucson Temple of J.C.L .D.S. When there was no smoke haze.

09.12.2020. 0500: People have more than pandemic to worry about in California. If it isn’t the fire, it’s the smoke.  Our friends in Oregon City have evacuated to relatives in Portland because the smoke in their area is so strong. They have a good argument in favor of climate change.  1130:  77º California Haze and no visible Sun.

Drizzled with honey and wine.  We lost the directions for this and did it ourselves. Fun.

Parkinson’s Specific Drumming practice. Left, right, left, etc.  It’s the ETC. where I mess up. Gotta’ teach my brain to left-right-left-left-right-left-right-right- left. It takes practice.

Afternoon and still the haze.

There is this thing:

Chocolate slows down the aging process.
